Knights Table Collective supports Knight student-athletes with NIL opportunities
Buena Vista, Virginia (September, 2023) – Basepath, the leading NIL operations software company for collectives, universities, and student-athletes has been chosen as the exclusive provider for the Knight’s Table Collective, created to support student-athletes from Southern Virginia University. This collaboration aims to streamline the “Name, Image, and Likeness” (NIL) community by assisting student-athletes with their NIL deals and finances.
The Knight’s Table Collective’s mission is to empower and support collegiate athletes in maximizing their earning potential through NIL, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes their personal and professional growth. Basepath provides financial and operational infrastructure for building an NIL ecosystem for Knight student-athletes. This includes assigning tasks and sending payments to athletes, automatically updating a compliance dashboard for athletic department officials, and allowing Knight’s Table administrators and student-athletes to send and receive NIL contracts.
Basepath also offers a new wallet app for student-athletes. With many NIL marketplaces and businesses paying athletes, a lack of NIL deal disclosures has become a pain point for athletic directors. The Basepath wallet increases disclosure rates by allowing administrators data on their athletes’ income and NIL deals. The wallet consolidates all athlete NIL deals in one place, regardless of the source. Athletes are also offered improved financial control, including information on 1099 contractor tax obligations and financial support.

As a part of the alliance, Knight’s Table will leverage Basepath’s membership management software, connecting Southern Virginia fans with Knights student-athletes. This software will serve as a bridge, creating a direct connection that allows supporters to engage with their favorite athletes on a more personal level.

Knight’s Table offers four varying levels of memberships, starting with Crimson Level at $9.99 a month, climbing all the way up to Sword Level at $250 a month. Members receive a variety of benefits, such as a personalized video from a student-athlete and a Knight’s Table backpack. Unlike other collectives, Knight’s Table has made their presence known in the NIL space by adding “Corporate Sponsorship” packages. Corporate pledges start at $3,500 and range up to $20,000, with benefits, depending on pledge, including social media posts, access to student-athletes for marketing, and the company logo added to the franchise.
