The Economist Discussion Group—henceforth, the EDG—is a new Zoom discussion group that will meet for about 90 minutes each Friday afternoon at 1 PM. Each week we'll discuss one or two articles from that week's Economist magazine, which usually comes out the previous Monday. (Electronically, it's delivered the Thursday before that.)
We'll take turns choosing the articles, and whoever chooses will kick off the discussion.
There are a few ground rules:
To find out what articles we're discussing and get the Zoom URL, you have to be on the EDG mailing list (see below). Your email will be used only for EDG notices, and will not be shared with any other organization.
The EDG is being started by Marc Rochkind, who currently leads the Boulder World Affairs Discussion Group on Tuesdays at 10 AM, which will continue. The difference between the two groups is that the EDG only discusses articles from the Economist, and only those who have read the article may speak. The WADG is much more open-ended.
For more information, email Marc Rochkind.
