Canon F-1 - 1971

• First Canon system camera

• $537.90 with f1.4 lens (updated F-1) in 1971 ($2896 in 2010 dollars)

Finally, after 12 years, Canon introduced a camera to compete with the Nikon F.

Photos at the bottom were taken in August 2011. Foam seals weren't spongy enough, judging by the looseness of the camera back. So I put some rubber bands around it to hold it tightly closed. Don't know if this was necessary.
